1. The story of Job shows us that things happen that we can not understand. When these bad thing happen we must trust in God and get past it.
2. Job would absolutely be on board with this guy. He could not figure out why all these bad thing were happening and he just had to accept the fact that he would not know.
3. Job’s “friends” would simply say that you can make sense of evil. They would say that bad thing happen to you as a punishment for bad thing you did. They would define it somewhat like a boomerang.

1. The story of Job shows how bad things DO happen to good people, and you can’t hope to understand God’s motives.
2. Job would not believe this guy at the beginning of the story, but certainly would have at the end.
3. I agree with Michael.

I would like to point out that Rumsey has the more correct answer for my number two. I was answering the second question under the assumption that the story was over.
PS. Wheres Matthew and his FIRST post? He usually beats me to it…

1. The story of Job talks about this because while reading this and while this happened to Job, people were constantly trying to make sense of why this type of evil was upon Job.
2. Job definitely would be on board with this man. Job doesn’t understand why this is all happening to him and he realizes that evil doesn’t make sense.
3. Job’s friends would say he is dead wrong. They say that they already understand evil and that it happens to bad people which is why Job is going through his tough time… WRONG!!!!

1. The story of Job talks about how Christians can go through a hard time, and that they need to have faith and trust that God’s plan is superior, and that He will be glorified.
2. Job would definitely be on board with this guy (at the end) because he comes to the realization that wicked, twisted, evil will never make sense.
3. Job’s friends would say that yes, you can make sense of evil by figuring out what sin you are being punished for.

Goodness gracious are we all supposed to have like 3 points or something?? Great now i feel stupidddd. Heres my awesome three points.
NUMERO UNO- I AM OFFICIALLY POSTING
LETTER B- I WATCHED THE VIDEO. and it was gooooood
NUMBER 3- (I will very skillfully answer all three questions in just one point)
The story of Job talks about this because Job does not know why all of these bad things are happening to him. He tries to make sense of it but cannot. At first Job would not be on board with this dude (btw he had an awesome little irish weirdo accent) but by the end of the story he would totally agree. And i think that Job’s friends would totally disagree with this and say that everything has to make sense.
Okay so there we go. THAT PUT THE SOME IN AWESOME.
HI ALLISON
Okay BYE BYE

1. The story of Job illustrates this video quite well because Job suffers for what seems like no reason. His suffering does not make sense but he still had faith!
2. Job would agree with this dude because he hasn’t been able to make sense of all the suffering happening to him, he just had to have faith in God.
3. I think at first Job’s friends would vehemently disagree with this video and say that Job’s suffering was merely because he had sinned and he should repent. But after they stepped back and really thought about the video I think in the end they would agree that it is right.
that guy had an AWESOME accent!!!!!

1. The story of Job shows us that even the best of people go through hard times and have to deal with bad thing. Bad things happen to everyone not just bad people. You can be a good person and still bad things are going to happen and you just have to trust in God to bring you through them.
2. I think Job would agree with him, because he realizes that bad things happen to everyone even if you cannot make sense of i you just have to put it in God’s hands and trust that him. You cannot make sense of everything that happens.
3. Ido not think Job’s friends would agree with him, because they think everything happens for a reason and/ or you are being punished for something you did wrong.
I agree with Bryan

On the topic of things not making sense, Mr. Willson, for number 2 of the Job Notebook Assignment, you gave us a question saying that we should read Job 42:49. That verse doesn’t exist. What were we supposed to read?
February 9, 2009 at 9:54 pm
Mr. Willson
@ Ben- That was a mistake I made on the printing. The Instead of 42:49, try 42:8-9. That should make some sense.

well…
1. Job’s story shows us that just because you’re good that doesn’t mean that nothing bad is going to happen to you. Even Christians have to go through struggles at times.
2. I think Job would definately agree with that guy. He understands that bad things can happen to good people.
3. Job’s friends would not be happy with this. They think that bad things should only happen to bad people. They don’t realize that in the end, what doesn’t kill you will make you stronger.
I agree with Allison.

1) The story of Job shows us that God does things that only he knows the reason why. Also that what God does doesnt always make sense, we just have to trust that he knows whats best for us and that he will work it all out in the end.
2) Job would definately be on bored with this guy. He trusted God in all his hardships, even though they didnt make sense to him.
3) Job’s friends would comepletely disagree with the guy. they would say that everything that happens has a logical and understandable explination.
@ Michael- it was honestly hard to write my own with out copyrighting you, you had a great answer. I think ur second point was better than Ben’s though. he didnt give a reason why he thought that Job would disagree then agree…

I am going to use LETTERS!
A. Job shows us that evil stems from Satan, and he doesn’t really have a reason.
B. I think that Job would agree with this guy. Job did not think that he was evil enough for God to send down these plagues upon him.
C. Job’s friends would probably say that evil is a punishment.
@Michael- I agree, but Job didn’t seem to want to accept that he just didn’t know.

The story of Job shows us that there are many things that we do not understand.
I think Job would be on board with this guy.
I think Job’s friends would say this guy is wrong.
I like what Bryan said.

Yes he would (i know this for a fact)
They would probably not like this guy at all, he says the exact opposite of what they say…

I think Job teaches us that even if you a good person your not, not eligible for bad things to happen to you. If satan wants to target you he will, youuo just have to try and resist his temptations. Unless he goes all Emily Rose on you, which would be creepy.
Jobs would be onboard all the way with this dude
Jobs friends would agreee that evil is a punishement for your sins, and you can determine it by the sin youve commited

Job is right along there with this guy. All of his friends were talking down to him. Telling him that all of this was his fault. What the friends didn’t know was that he was being tested and he did not ask God why. Untill the last part, and God put him in his place.
Bryan pretty much took the words out of my mouth, not really.

Well I am so late. But I have no doubt mine will be the best.
1. Job shows us that even when we are going through tough times God has a plan for us. So like next time you are going through trials perservere because the same thing that happened to Job could be happening to you and then you would be beating Satan at the game he is trying to play.
2. I think that Job would agree with him because Job knows that bad things can happen even to really good people
3. I dont think Jobs freinds would agree with him, because they think you have to have been evil for evil things to happen to you.
@Ben Rumsey
I really agree with what you had to say and I thought it was well said
