First!
Orpah is an odd name. Also, it sounds suspiciously like Oprah. We should sue her for copyright infringement.
Boaz told his workers to leave Ruth alone. It seems that gathering wheat was more dangerous than it sounds.

Oops, I was supposed to post something that doesn’t make sense. Ruth seemed very ready to accept a different religion and Naomi wanted Ruth to go back to her people and worship false gods.

It stood out that no matter what happened to Ruth and Naomi the hand of Gog was over them the entire time. What i did not quite understand was why she went and laid at his feet. I under stand that her mother told her to, but it still is a little bit fuzzy.

The thing that really stands out to me is how nice Boaz was to Ruth. He could’ve been very cruel but instead chose to respect her. The thing that doesn’t really make sense was how Orpah just left Naomi.

Well one thing that doesnt make sense to me is why Ruth had to sleep on the floor near his bed? Couldnt she have just like let him know that he was supposed to be the kinsman reddeemer?
The thing that stands out is ruth’s willingness to hang out with her in-laws.

The thing that stands out to me in this story was the extensive loyalty that Ruth displayed for Naomi. The first thing that came to my mind that doesnt really make sense, was when Naomi told Ruth to go and lay at the feet of Boaz.

Something that really stands out to me is Ruth’s loyalty to Naomi. Even though she could’ve gone back to her family, she decided to stay with Naomi because she was being considerate, compassionate and didn’t want her to be alone. Something that doesn’t make sense to me is also how Orpah left Naomi and Ruth.

When reading Ruth I noticed how Orpah just completely left Naomi. I do not understand how you can leave someone like that. It must be common that people think this. The thing that stands out to me is how Boaz treated Ruth. He was very generous and kind to her when he did not even know her.

One thing that stood out to me in Ruth was how nice Boaz was to her. I mean, this was some guy who had never met her before and he is acting like she is a princess. One thing that didn’t make sense to me was why if Naomi knew that God was the only true God, why would she encourage Ruth and Orpah to return to their false gods.

Ruth’s resiliance really stood out to me there was never any evidence that she was going to give up. Ruth was very brave. Even though she lost her husband, her provider, and she had a good chance of not surviving she kept going! What didn’t really make sense to me was Naomi telling Ruth to lay at the feet of this guy she barily even knew while he slept.

What stood out to me was how all the men died, but God turned it into something good. Like what would have happened if they didn’t die? Because King David and Jesus Christ came from the line of Boaz and Ruth. What didn’t make sense to me was why Elimelech moved his family to Moab. Instead of either staying and trusting God or moving to a different part of Israel.

@Michael: ‘The hand of Gog’?
“Boaz” is an awesome name. I keep imagining an epic movie trailer where some guy leaps out of an explosion in slow motion and a deep voice says ‘BOAZ 3 – IN THEATERS THIS FALL’.
But as for an actual thing that stand out to me in Ruth other than ‘Boaz’, I would have to say that it was Ruth’s willingness to go wherever Naomi went. You have to be pretty desperate to follow someone out of your own country and into one you’ve barely even heard of.

Ok so i liked how Boaz took care of Ruth and protected her from the horribly dangerous wheat gatherers. Oh so what do you think these wheat gatherers could have done to her that is so scary? I bet i could have taken them easily! Haha i bet they were planning on stealing her grain and grinding it
hahaha alright im hungry so imma gonna bounce.

What stood out to me was that through all the deaths God made something good. what if no one died? Then where would King David and Jesus Christ have come from? Because They came from the line of Boaz and Ruth. What didn’t make sense to me was why Elimelech took his family to Moab instead of staying and trusting God or moving to a different part of Israel.

HOLA!
@ matt- oprah’s parents wanted to name her “orpah” but they spelled the name wrong on her birth certificate.
anyways, i think that the story of ruth is a story to us from God about how he has a plan and purpose for us in our life, even in the hard situations!

Ben and Matt, I commend you for being the only people to use proper Grammar.
Jonathon Kreidt, your sentence does not end in a period and there are two unnecessary punctuation marks at the end of your sentence. For this incursion upon the Holy Rules of Grammar, you shall be hunted down and destroyed.
Seth Michael Greek, you also have broken the Rules.
I do not have enough time to point out each person’s infractions, but know that this applies to you as well.

The main thing that sttod out to me was that Boaz was like the most kind guy ever. Little suspicious. He hadnt ever met Rith before and hes like oh hey, heres my social security number not that you would want it or anything.
Lets see a weird thing? Ok, why did Ruth have to sleep at the feet of the dude? Foot fetish?not thinkn so.
