God is completely sovereign over all things. In order to be able to create something out of nothing is unfathomable. As humans we aren’t able to create anything out of nothing. We can get ideas from things and make something that is somewhat new, but we can never create anything out of nothing. God is also merciful and just. He punishes the wicked, but he also has mercy on them and the righteous. Like when God lets Noah and his family live even though He is wiping the rest of the humans off the face of the earth with a flood. People are supposed to rule over all the creatures of the earth. Since we were made by God, we are supposed to worship Him and follow Him in everything we do. Although we have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God, we can still follow Him to the best of our ability.

First of all i think that genesis 1-11 tells us that God IS truly all powerful and that he is very meticulous about what he does. I think that we, as humans, are in the leading role in Gods “play” and our lines are or lives in Christ

I agree that God is all powerfull. He is able to do anything other than sin. I also agree that we are the leading role in God’s “play”. We are to designed to rule over all the other creatures that live on earth. We are also here to worship and serve Him. We are supposed to live our lives like Jesus.

I totally agree, God is just to amazing for us to begin to understand, and though we are nothing compared to him he still loves us like a father n matter what we do.

Genesis 1-11 shows us that God is all sovereign, all powerful, all knowing, all just and all loving. God has control over everything and has a plan for all the earth. We all though are nothing compared to Him, are created in His image, and put in charged of all the living things, and plant life on earth. Meaning that it is our responsibility to take care of those things that need care. We are to be fruitful and multiply to inhabit the entire earth. Yet our many role is to spend time with God in rest, putting all things aside and worship and enjoy the Holy One.

First of all, Genesis 1-11 says that the creation of life didn’t happen at one time, it was a process in which God put so much thought and so much complexity. It also says, since he created us, he has a plan for the billions of people that he has created since Adam and Eve. “A plan not to hurt us, but to give us a future and a hope.” Jeremiah 29:11 says. In Genesis 8:21, Jesus speaks of how we will never destroy life on earth for the sake of man again. This shows that God can exert discipline, but also loves us no matter what. Our lines in the stage of life are just to follow God’s plan for us and glorify him in everything we do. If we do, we will receive blessings too numerous to count.

I like how you put emphases on the fact that God created all that he did out of nothing! I also agree that our goal is to follow Christ and Trust in his plan.

All of you guys are right! No one can even compare….. or imagine God’s power! Genesis 1-11 is only a morsel of God’s sovereign rule over all of us. The thing is, he loves us no matter what. I think its pretty awesome being loved by the creator of the universe

Genesis 1-11 shows me that God is just so amazing and that he can do anything and he doesn’t need us to doing anything for him, because hes well aware of what hes doing.
In my opinion were just here to mess up to Gods glory can be shown threw us because he makes every mistake and every fault we have beautiful even.

I agree our God is just. The cool thing is that he never does things when we expect him to, he does them on his own timing. Which in my opinion is awesome

I think that God, of course, is the director and we were all casted for the main roles. Sometime our “lines” can be difficut, so we try do do the directors job and change them. We just have to remember that to win the crowd it is not always gonna be easy, but God is always in controlle.

I like the way you said…”he are supposed to worship him, and follow him in everything we do.” It is so clear in Genesis that it is not always easy to worship God when everything isn’t going so great, but we are supposed to worship God in the good times and bad. One of my favorite verses in the Bible is:
1 Thessalonians 5:18 – in everything give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus to you-ward.

Good call on the idea of process- this is an important concept. God could have blinked and created everything at once, but He used His Word to bring everything into existence through a process He chose. Good stuff.
@ Abby
You make some good points- I like your analogy with the crowd and the world.

First of all, there are no words that can truely describe how awesome our God really is. How he put the earth together in just 7 days is unbelievable. And then he wiped it out with a flood and basically put it back together like it was a childrens puzzle is incredible to say the least. It just goes to show you that God is all powerful, and that He has a plan for this earth, and everyone on it.

That is a great way to look at it. Things definately aren’t always going to be easy. We just have to put God in control of our lives and let Him lead the way.

God is so amazing, I don’t think our little brains can even begin to comprehend of how incredible he is! He is the almighty, and created everything out of nothing! As our roles, I think we are the cast, and we are trying to get the audience involved and show them of how amazing it truly is.
I love how Kyle wrote that its pretty awesome that we are loved by the creator of the universe! I think we sometimes forget that, and try to be in control. We need to always remember that God has a plan, and everything happens for a reason.

Abby, I LOVE how you said what our roles and and how we sometimes change the lines. I totally agree with that! We just have to trust the director, and know that the outcome is going to be good!

I like how you mentioned our “little brains”. I thought that was so true, God is so much bigger than than us, and we are so small, it just amazes me that God would even spend time on us. That he would love us is incredible. I aggree with abby, we dont have to please the “crowd” we just have to please God.

God is so amazing. 1-11 just begins to tell us how powerful he is and how amazing he is. It is hard for our minds to even IMAGINE what it was like when God created the earth. I think that our role as Christians is spread the His word. And He knows exactly how that is going to happen. He has written the lines that we are going to say and we say them. Something I have a question about is that if God knows exactly what we are going to do and has a plan for our life then how does He give us a choice in how we live our life?

I completely agree. Sometimes it is hard and we try to change it up so things will be easier. But we do as you said have to remember that He knows what is right for our lives and what will help us succeed in the long run.

I believe our director is God, he is the director of the whole world and the universe. i believe he put man to be the rulers of his earth and he gave us all diferent roles, some hard some easier. i believe that god is the one incontrol of all of us and he gives each of us a pathh to fallow a path through life.

You are so right i totally agree! I tend to do that alot and i need to just to follow the directors lead. This is his show and all the credit should go to him.
It so amazing beacause God has designed this set (the world) for his plan and it is perfect. We as sinners will mess it up with our acting but God shows us so must mercy and grace that none of it will matter in the end.

I believe that God is so amazing that He can do anything especially create the whole world! It is really awesome how He can take nothing and turn it into something because nobody else can do that. He also controls the lives of every single person on the earth and gives us a purpose in life. Our God is an amazing God!

I totally agree with you Katrina! God doesnt need our help with anything because He has a plan for all of us and knows exactly what He is doing. That just shows how amazing He is.

God is our director. God created everything perfectly including Adam and Eve. He knew before He created them that they would sin. He always knew that sin would come to His creation and that He would have to send a Savior. The first eleven chapters of Genesis go from a perfect creation to the fall of Adam and Eve, further corruption of their descendants, destruction of the earth by flood. The “play” ends with the renewal of the earth and God’s blessing on Noah and his family to replenish the earth. The people “played the parts” that God always knew they would play.

I agree that there is no way that we can describe how great God is. Anything that we do or accomplish is nothing compared to what God did.
